Generally to start a B2B business you come from that industry and have a 'black book' of contacts to get you off the ground. If you don't you have at least a couple sales guys who do. The larger the scale of the business market you are getting into the higher the difficulty. By that I mean there is a direct correlation between the size of the company and the difficulty of selling a product/winning a contract. Fortune 500 is much more difficult than Joe's Lawnmowers down the street to get your foot in the door.
