The soccer game, or actual football, to everyone on the planet who isn't a yank. Anyway...
We fucking took United to school, yesterday. Sonned them for an hour straight, in the worst way, then chilled for the rest of the game. Outclassed them in every department.
Aspects particularly worthy of note:
Carrick and Fellaini got anhiliated in the midfield battle. Yaya Toure and Fernandinho (particularly Yaya) bossed the centre of the park like they'd been playing together for ten years.
Vincent Kompany (Man of the Match, for me) was a BEAST! I thought there were two of him on the pitch, it was ridiculous. Wayne Rooney was under wraps for as long as the game mattered. Didn't get ANY joy against Kompany whatsoever, no matter what he tried.
The battle on the flanks was yet another masterclass performance. Navas and Nasri worked their socks off to defend with the full backs (Nasri ran more yards than anyone on the pitch, yesterday) Ashley Young didn't exist, such was the efforts on our right side. And Nasri and Kolarov owned the left flank.
Negrado and Aguero... Man, the movement... <sigh>... my lord. They made United centre half's look like old men. Combined with Nasri, in particular, the three of them demolished and opened up United at will.
