1. MURDA MOOK - Still the king until somebody dethrones him. Many people thought Lux would rip him apart, including myself, but that didn't happen at all. Many people still don't think he's the best battle rapper. He proves these people wrong every time he feels like it though.
2. HOLLOW DA DON - A nice 2-1 win over Clips gave him the #2 spot clearly. Everybody wants to see him against Mook, but it probably won't happen soon. Other than that, any other challenger is basically just practice.
3. LOADED LUX - Fell out of the top 2 argument after taking a clear L to Mook. He wasn't bad enough to fall out of the top 3 though. Lux still has a shot to reclaim the #1 spot, but has to get back in his bag and not get bagged again or he might fall out of the top 10 altogether.
4. CHARLIE CLIPS - Even though he lost to Hollow, he made it debatable enough to stay in the conversation as top dog. Also, being as active as he is, he gets more respect than most of the top tier even if he takes a couple of losses here and there.
5. CALICOE - Calicoe is so inactive these days that it's hard to put him here, but he never loses when it matters after coming back from the Lux battle. He looked bad against DNA, but that was a warm up for his Tsu Surf battle, which he bodied in Surf's backyard. If he can come up with another elite performance in the next couple of months, then he may deserve a shot at Mook.
6. TSU SURF - Never disappoints, even when he loses. His last two battles on the URL stage have been amazing and he looks better than ever. I don't think he's the most deserving of the Mook battle, but he's one of the handful of battle rappers who at least make sense to go for the throne.
7. TAY ROC - The prototype for the street battle emcee. He doesn't choke or stumble, his performance and delivery are off the charts and his bars almost always connect and get straight to the point. A few classics and a couple of bodies over the past few years have skyrocketed his stock. Never lets the fans down, I'm just not sure he has the potential to ever be the best in the game.
8. DAYLYT - When he raps, he's one of the best in the world. When he uses antics, he's still more entertaining than 90% of the people actually trying to impress with their rapping ability. His unpredictability, entertainment value and talent combine to make for one of the toughest opponents anybody could ask for. The only thing that keeps him from the top 5 is his inconsistency.
9. BIGG K - While I'm not one of the people who thinks K is undefeated, he has looked almost unbeatable recently. He keeps getting better and when he puts in 100%, I'm not sure there's a more well rounded battle rapper out right now. K needs a few more big names under his belt before he gets into the argument as the best.
10. PAT STAY - He deserves a mention in the top 10. While he can be pretty corny, I believe he knows his crowds very well and always caters to them. If he was given a chance on the URL stage, he would impress. I liked his shit against Calicoe, even though I think Cal maybe edged it. Like Bigg K, he needs a few more big names under his belt to be considered a legitimate threat to the rappers at the top of this list.
