I played the hard mission on my own in the closed beta when the NPC did a bit less damage and couldnt get passed the last rooftop stage. I honestly dont think I could do it on hard alone now either even with more experience nh. Id say 2 is the minimum for hard unless youre way over leveled/geared.
One dope feature I forgot to mention is group matchmaking. So you can que up to be put in a group if you are solo or open your group up to others if its you and your bro. Thats what I always did if I wanted to play on hard, and with 3-4 ppl on hard its not a problem.
